If you liked "Charlie's Angels" but thought that it ought to have been set in the Joseon era, a new fusion saeguk may grant your filmgoing wishes. The film, "Joseon Trio of Beauties," alternatively called "The Huntresses," stars Ha Ji Won, Kang Ye Won and Brown Eyed Girls' Ga In as three beautiful bounty hunters during the time of the Joseon dynasty.

Ha Ji Won, best known for her roles in the dramas "Secret Garden" and "King 2 Hearts," plays the Jin Ok, the group's smart and highly skilled leader. Jin Ok is skilled in martial arts, invents secret weapons and has a talent for disguise. If the martial arts skills she displayed in "Secret Garden," are any indicator, this film should have plenty of fun action scenes.

Kang Ye Won plays Hong Dan Ga, a married woman less interested in domestic skills than she is in wielding a sword and throwing daggers. She's also obsessed with money. Before taking on this movie role, the actress appeared on "We Got Married with Jo Kwon from 2 AM. She also appeared in the MBC daily sitcom, "All My Love."

Son Ga In plays Ga Bi, the youngest member of the bounty-hunting group and a girl who is quick with her fists. Son Ga is a member of the girl band Brown Eyed Girls and has also pursued a solo career as an actress and singer. She will appear on the video for PSY's new single, "Gentle Man."

Rounding out the cast is Joo Sang Wook, who previously appeared in "Special Affairs Team 10." He will play Sa Hyun, a warrior who threatens the women, while Ko Chang Seok, who recently appeared in "Ad Genius Lee Tae Baek," will play Moo Myung, a monk.

In this action-comedy, the three women use their skills to save the country from danger. In the film, the bounty hunters become legendary because they never fail to catch their target. But the costumes the actresses wear in the film have also caused some comments,

Posters for the movie caused fans to question the accuracy of some of the actresses' revealing outfits and their modern eye makeup but representatives of the production company explained that since the film is a fusion saeguk, such details don't have to be that accurate. It's much more important that the audiences enjoy the film and have fun watching it.

Netizens agreed that the movie, which will air in May, sounds like good "popcorn" fun.
